Help!!!

I Have 6 baby chicken and today one of them was experiencing something really bad. I got home from school and went to check on them. And i saw five of the baby chicken walking around with their mom. But the last baby chicken(Seven) was sitting by himself under my tree and he was a sleep. As the day went on Seven got a lot weaker and grew more tired. So I pick him up and wrap him in one of my old shirt to keep him warm.
Then he started having random spasms, and started rolling around like he was in pain. He rolled out of the shirt and it looks like he was trying to yawn. When I pick him up it looked like he was slowly slipping away.
Then i put Seven back in the shirt and he started having the spasms and started rolling around again. It kept on happening until he passed away.

Please help understand what happen to him so I can prevent it from happening to the other Chicks.

I don't know how old your chicks are, but one of the mysteries of poultry keeping is that they can be so fragile in the beginning. It might not be anything that was done, it just happened to little Seven. Be strong and happy that the others are OK. Maybe somebody else can give you more reasons, but it happens with poultry and I am truly sorry it happened to you.

I had a similar experience to you, one little chick was not growing like the others and would often stay in one place while the others were off foraging etc. I had her in the house with me one day as she seemed to just want cuddles, she was fast asleep on my knee then all of a sudden started spasming and died right in my arms! Soon after this a younger chick started pooping alot of blood and went downhill very fast... this was cocci. I then bought coxoid and added this to all the chicks water for seven days and they are all fine! The first chick did not show any signs of blood in her poop or anything but i believe that was what caused her to die to quickly. Just a suggestion!

Yeah, but Seven was okay the day before he died. It next day he pass away. the part that bother me is I don't actually know what caused his death. Thanks for replying.

I had one to do that too, and was REALLY worried about the other chicks since I didn't know what it was and whether it was something they could "catch". But I only had the one. I know it bothers you.
