    So im contemplating weather or not to get a full size chicken or a bantam.It can get very cold where i live this winter it got down below freezing about 2 months in a row so which is better bantam or full size give me your opinion.

    It doesn't really matter appenzeller spitzhaubens are the most cold hardy birds I know as they come from mountainous country

    For cold weather areas it doesn't matter whether you get a small or full size chicken. There are certain breeds in both bantam and standard that are a little more cold hardy then others. Stay away from any breeds that have large combs....silkies are one of my favorite bantam breeds and they are cold hardy :)
