I had some button quail hatch yesterday, i was given eggs and i incubated them. I never had quail before. What do i feed them?

get a good non-medicated gamebird or meatbird crumble and run it in a blender until it looks like cornmeal, pretty fine but not like flour. Put it in a small dish AND sprinkle it on the floor of the brooder for a day or so until you are sure they are eating from the dish then you can stop sprinkling the floor. be sure they have plenty of fresh water and that you place marbles or small stones in the lip of the waterer so the chicks cannot fall in and get wet or drown. also give them fine ground oyster shell for the calcium. Just fed them the crumble for the first 3 weeks then you can add finely chopped apple, hard boiled chicken egg, broccoli and other veggies once every day or two and at 5 weeks you can add grit and a good quality pet finch seed mix at 60% crumbles 40% seeds at about 6 weeks of age.
