So my hen started laying a week or two ago and she gave me 5 really nice eggs but today I was out side with the girls and I notice one was not coming to eat she was laying in her mud bath spot with a full yolk next to her and now she looks tired she layed a nice egg for me today now this I'm scared please help have any of u had this happen to one of your hens and will she be ok?:(

She probably just had a hiccup (for lack of better terms) in her laying. Sometimes when they are first starting to lay, their body is still getting used to the egg passing through the system. Sometimes the system gets a hiccup and a shell doesn't form, or maybe it forms, but it's like a rubbery shell.
I wouldn't worry too much about her, she's just getting used to popping those eggs out! Her system will adjust. Just be sure that they have plenty of oyster shell to help aide in making the shells for the eggs.
I had a hen that did that and I started feeding them oyster shells and haven't had a problem since!
Good luck!

Does she look OK? We all have bad days. If she perks back up, there may not be anything wrong. She may have had a bad time laying the egg you saw.
