Help!

Probably would be fine. I have had two of my ducks get their little necks caught in that kind of fence. What happened, best I can tell, is a duck was on the other side of the fence, and they started fussing at each other - pushing at each other with their bills - and got caught. Nothing dreadful, though I felt like an ignorant worthless duck mom the first time it happened.

By caught, I mean they poke their head and neck out through one rectangular opening, then wedge their bill into the next one over and then pull so they cannot get free. All they would have to do to release themselves would be to take a step forward. sigh. ducks.

I would not keep wood ducks in that fencing....they often nests in cavities with that size enterance.

Ok thanks I put 1x1 netting around the outside of the fence
I wouldn't put it on the outside...what if they push through and get caught between the wire. You're just getting the wood ducks....weren't you already trying to take orders for young....might want to wait until you actually have young...wood ducks are not as easy to breed as rouens.

very true. I am reading up on brooding them. I heard that the most difficult thing is to get them to eat is that true? I also heard that sprinkling mazuri waterfowl starter on their drinking water will help. is that true?

True, when you get the ducklings,. but that also isn't as easy as raising rouens....getting eggs isn't as easy, and hatching certainly isn't as easy.
