Just started hatching last night 200 bobwhite quail About half are spraddle legged , What did I do wrong where I can prevent this next setting. Note some of them had there feet under them this afternoon any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can use bandaids to tape their legs together and help correct the spraddle leg.

What did you have on the bottom of the bator? A slippery surface or a nonslip surface?

Had Hardware cloth wire in tray

I've learned from this site to use the foam type shelf liner on the bottom of the bator. I also use some on the bottom of the brooder for the first couple of days.

Thank you , Dont know if it was temp ,Hum ,the moon lol Trying to make sure before spring. Just recently purchased incubator was trying it out still working on kinks

Were they late hatching?

They were set and hatched on day 23 which is what book said it would be.
