I found my rooster like this tonight when I got home. My wife went it and got him out. He is barely moving and he moves his legs but not his feet. I put some bread in there for him and he eats it and I put some water also and he drinks it. It seems like his feet are not working at all. What is wrong with him?

I separated him from the 8 hens that I have as soon I found him in the middle of the coop.

How is your rooster doing this morning? Not sure what's going on with him, but I would get some save a chick electrolytes in his water & treat him for parasites. Is it extremely hot where u live? With all the extra fluffy feathers he could have been suffering from heat exhaustion.

He is the same. It is starting to get a little warmer, but it seems like he just can't move his feet. He kinda moves himself around with is wings but can not get up and walk.

Strange to say the least. Is there any way he got into some kind of poison, like rat poison or a toxic plant or berry? To me it sounds like a neurological problem, lack of vitamins/electrolytes or a toxin that's causing paralysis. Hmmm going to Google this see what I can find

It could be mareks disease which causes single or bilateral leg paralysis & is caused by a virus. Lots of research you can do online to either confirm or rule out mareks as a possible cause. Good luck, keep us updated.
