Ive had a 4 week old goose since it was a baby and today I took in about a 6 week old female from the family who couldn't keep her anymore. When she got here she immediately started biting my 4 week old and won't stop! My 4 week old just keeps running and crying! What should I do?!

Well first off they need to be introduced slowly not just put together and asked to play nice. place them into separate pens where they can see each other but can't touch do you have them outside? let them get to know each other daily by living side by side. Then after a few days while your there give them time together.but still keep them separate when you can't be with them. hopefully by weeks end they will be best friends.

x2.

Well done on getting another goose bnfallon, it´s such a good thing to do for your gosling. But at this stage they can be little bullies, even though they need each other. Just give it time.

They are indoor pets and I must say that besides my dog these two are the best pets I've ever had. They are so so sweet to me and everyone else but not to each other. I was expecting them to be best friends off the bat but the new one just won't stop biting and scaring my little girl. They're the same breed just a couple weeks apart. Also the new one is terrified of my dog even though my dog wants nothing to do with them! At her old home they use to let the dogs chase her but my dog doesn't do that she actually protects them how can I fix this?

Dogs are big enemies of geese naturally so this will take alot of time to work out, patience and keeping them apart but where they can see each other and hopefully the new goose will get us to your dog. All of it is going to take time but if you go about it in the right way it will work out.

I keep my dog away from her as much as I can because I know it's fear by nature. My little goose cuddles with my dog and bites her. My dog is a big baby. Im mostly just worried about these two getting along!

When I got my goose for my gander she was 4 months old, he hated her it took about 3 months before he accepted her. These things take time. What kind of situation did your new gosling come from?

I wouldn't say a bad one they loved her but they let the dogs chase her around. And I have one more question I'm going camping tomorrow and spending the night then coming home that afternoon. If I put two things of water in their crates and one big food bowl do you think they will be okay?

Hard to say waterfowl have a way of splashing most of their water out all over so do a trial run today. So she spent alot of time stressed. Not good for a young gosling or goose. Well just means it's going to take time for her to feel at home around yor dog and just being in a new place is stressful so Try to be patient and give them as much outside time as you can ,being in a large area may relieve some of the tension between the 2 goslings. [without the dog]

Okay! Thank you Mrs. Linda! I moved their cages up to my room so the dog isnt always there. It makes me realize how much of a differce there is between a goose that was imprinted on me and everything around me vs. A goose who wasn't imprinted on everything around it
