Urgent! I got the oxytetracycline 200 but it says its for cows. Can I use this the water or by mouth. Help and How?? I also got some electrolytes and vitamins for them and the DE.

Question, in your first post you said that a vet gave you antibiotics, what antibiotic was it?

I think the dose is 2.5 tablespoons per gallon.

Do not put anything else in the water as certain minerals may bind with the antibiotics. The best way to get the medicated water into them if they aren't drinking would be to tube them.

Forget abot the DE... Take it back and get some Safeguard for goats instead.

Yes the vet gave me smt zmp but he said he didnt really knw wht was wrong nor did he knw much about chickens.

I gave them that once then I found this website and stopped using it. So do I mix the oxytetracycline in water or by mouth

Send him this link and ask him if he'll sell you some Baytril (Enrofloxacin).

With Baytril you will probably see improvement in the first 24 hours. He can sell you the liquid to give orally or by injection and he can also crush some tablets and make you a suspension that is given orally. If he won't sell you any, you can buy your own from:

His will be more expensive, but it's what I would do if I were in your shoes.

I sent you a PM about your oxytetracycline--it is injectable, so I wouldn't use it because it is too strong for chickens. You need oxytetracycline powder to put in the water. Dosage for the one below is 2.5 tablespoonsful per gallon. Each brand has different mixing instructions.
