Totally agree. It looks like you are in a classroom, so I know the kids will be excited to see the progress, but when they start pipping is when you really want to keep the lid onHi![]()
Glad you could join the flock! Yes looks like a pip to me. They do often just start with a crack in the shell to let enough oxygen in. What day are you on? With the pip you have its best to leave the egg in the incubator and get the humidity bumped up to at least 65%. Having out could cause the chick to become shrink wrapped in the shell.
Good luck![]()
Aren't you the observant one...lolTotally agree. It looks like you are in a classroom, so I know the kids will be excited to see the progress, but when they start pipping is when you really want to keep the lid on
Hey, I was being normal for once. Let me find your cape...Aren't you the observant one...lol![]()
I was just giving you kuddos for your power of observation my friend.....Hey, I was being normal for once. Let me find your cape...
I would guess day 20 or 21. If that's your first pip, then the next 2 days should be exciting. Are you the one in charge of humidity? You have probably learned a good bit already to get to the pip, so I may be telling you something you already know, but once they start pipping, you really need to leave the lid on as much as you can. Opening the incubator will dop the humidity, drying the membrane, and make it more difficult for the chicks to kick out. Good luck!Thank you for responding so soon!I don't know what day we are on. I'm a student at my school and it is a class project. So I don't know what day it is. I will definitely raise the humidity.![]()
