I just hatched about 28 chicks and noticed while I was moving them to their new big chick coop that one of the girls eye is a little swollen and there is a little discharge from it. She is showing no other signs like sneezing or runny nose and is running around eating just fine. Any thoughts on what it can be?? They were in a tight living area before I moved them could she have gotten pecke by another one or should I remove the chick now? Please any and all thoughts welcome!!

Any advice please! Her eye problem is still there hasn't gotten better or worse

Welcome! Rinse it out with warm water and see how her eye looks. If the cornea is damaged (probably) a trip to the vet might be a good idea. It's now Saturday, so rinse it out two or three times daily until Monday, and then decide. Mary

I would clean it up and put saline drops in. You can always ask a vet to have a look too and go from there.
