Helped Out Hatchings -- Ducklings Weak (Update: One Just Died)

Mom: crested Cayuga x Khaki Campbell. Dad: Cayuga. I don't think any of the ducklings have crests.

They all carry the crested gene, even if they don't have one to show off. It's a nasty gene that causes a lot of trouble. At least they only have it from one parent. Many ducklings with that gene don't even hatch, so you are fighting the natural odd due to the gene. I hope they all turn out alright. Google about the crested gene and you will find a lot of issues. One big known issue is seizures besides the low birth rate. Never have a crested one mate a crested one and use the eggs for incubation. Very bad mix.
