HER IS A EASY WAY TO MAKE A SNAKE STICK
Keep Your Distance:
The entire purpose of using hooks and tongs for snake removal and handling is to keep the snake a safe distance from you. Many species of snake can strike up to 2/3 the length of their body. This is especially true for an animal that is adequately warm. Whenever possible, keep the snake at least one snakes length away from your body.
Take It Slow: Most snake strikes occur when the handler is moving too quick and somehow startles or frightens the snake. If you move slowly and remain calm, you can normally gain control over the snake with its full cooperation. Hesitation and sudden quick movements can give the snake an opportunity to flee or fight.
Respect It: Snakes, particularly the larger species and those that are venomous, are very powerful animals. They have the ability to cause you harm, regardless as to how tame you may believe they are. In all instances of snake handling, you should always show the animal the respect it deserves. This means that under all circumstances, you should follow the rules above. if you show the animal the respect it deserves, you will decrease the chance that you are injured!
Supplies
1 - Paint roller handle/broom stick handle with male threaded end
1 - 2-3" Corner Paint Roller
Instructions
First, take the paint roller and remove everything until you are left with the bare metal/plastic frame. (This includes the disc's that insert into the paint rollers.) Next, screw the end of the paint roller on to the handle of the paint roller handle or broomstick.
That's it! This will make a quick and effective snake hook for when you are removing your snakes for feeding or if you are heading out to a location where you may encounter snakes that are best left at a distance.HOPE THIS HELPS THERE ARE A LOT OF VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE TO TEACH YOU HAW TO MAKE A SNAKE HOOK BUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL THANKS FOR A GREAT SITE BYC
