Should i help chicks out of the egg?

for some reason the first chick in every batch of eggs I cook comes out like hell on wheels and bashes all the other eggs around and stalls their hatch.. Ive assisted whenever I felt it was necessary and never lost a chick because of it. although I have seen some deformed ones that I would have rather not
