Helping out my disabled dad

Hello. i am a 32 and work in athletics, currently live near Charlotte nc now. I am originally from eastern NC. My stepdad has been recently disabled about 2 1/2 years ago. He has since before Christmas taken an interest in in what he calls being a chicken rancher. So my weekends lately result in me driving home 4 fours to build and work in chicken coop and duck coops. So when he has questions I get th job of looking them up and figuring out stuff. That is why I joined this website.

Yes I am interested in chickens myself. My partner would love to have about 6 layers. I am debating on building a coop and run.
