HELPPP ARE MY DUCKLINGS EATING TO MUCH??

I got my ducklings about a week ago. Every night I fill up their feeding thing and they always finish it all! They also seem to be pooping A LOTTT! Is it normal for them to be pooping this much or am I over feeding them?

Also, I read that they like tomatoes so I smashed up some tomatoes and they seemed to like them but when they pooped it was reddish. Then i feed them peas and their poop was green. Is this normal? Do they poop whatever color food they eat?

Some foods do influence stool color, dosnt sound like a problem. The brooder is getting a bit small and they grow incredibly fast. They should have access to feed and water 24x7 right now at their stage.

Also when feeding anything other than their starter they need chick grit to be able to “chew” their treats. And maybe look into a kiddy pool as you next step up in a brooder. They need to be able to get up an run around to get their legs strong.

You aren't feeding them enough. Ducklings should have food available at all times.

This is what ducklings do, eat and drink and poop. This is a normal to small amount of poop. I agree they need a bigger brooder and food and water 24/7 ducklings grow really fast and need a lot of fuel.

They are fine! I’ve had a duckling before and believe me, the mess is unrealIt seems like All they do is eat and poo most of the time, though they are enjoyable to watch. They’ll only eat as much as they want so don’t worry though the brooder could do with being a bit bigger.

You can't see it, but under the chick waterer there is a water catcher, almost like this- except I cover mine with bedding.

This is not my brooder setup btw.
