Hemlock vs pine shavings for bedding?

I can't seem to find pine shaving for bedding but my local farm supply has hemlock shavings, (actually 80% hemlock and 20% fir) They assure me that this is NOT the toxic type of hemlock and is perfectly safe for chickens. Any thoughts?

The poisonous Hemlock is an herbacous plant ....unrelated the the Hemlock tree.
You should be fine.
