Hemp Bedding- Why is it the best?

NOTE: I am not responsible for some information as it was gathered on different websites. This article is just a gathering of information to explain why hemp is a good bedding. Thank you One of the most heavily discussed topics is: What is the best bedding? We all have different opinions, so...

I've been using hemp since summer I absolutely love it last so much longer I pay less then 40 for a 33 pound bale at my local feed store I still have little less then half of bag that I use in coop and nesting boxes left from when I bought it in August. No dust very easy to scoop poop dropping no dirty coop smell

I love it for the low dust and compostability. Plus it lasts a really long time. Just not long enough to justify the cost, which is 10x what pine flake costs us. If I could source it more locally, it'd be our bedding of choice.

Last summer we tried flax because the consistency and compostability are similar. It smells great and is only 2x the cost of pine flake. However, flax doesn't us last long at all. Not because it breaks down but because our birds activate a search & destroy mission to scratch/bury/eat the flax until you can hardly find it anywhere. Not sure if they love it or hate it that much.
