Hen’s comb huge and floppy- impairing vision- acting odd

I'm not sure if a vision problem would be causing all of her problems (droopy tail and wings) and at 5 yrs old there are plenty of other things that could be going on with her, but I have read that a chicken's right eye is near-sighted for searching out food and the left eye is far-sighted. Is there a way you can tape her comb up out of her eyes temporarily to see if there is an improvement before deciding whether to dub or not?

Interesting about the near-sightedness. I’ll have a look and see if I can tape it back. Thanks for the suggestion and information!
