Hen: 1 Foxes: 0 GO TEAM!!!!

You could get some foot traps to take care of the fox and coyotes. It is a relatively easy task. The trap can be set to not fire on something as light as a chicken and still catch the preds. Dogs and cats can be a problem.

I had a fox do some damage to one of my girls a couple weeks ago. It got in our fenced backyard and then jumped into the chicken run(which has now been upgraded). It was about 7:30AM. The predators are in high gear this spring. At least for me.

My girl is doing much better. We named her Foxy.

wow! the other day i got home from school and this HUGE fox went running through our yard. we had two ducks in the pen, two in the pond. it went right by the ones in the pen without even looking at them. they barely moved as he ran by. then he got to the pond and was just getting a drink of water and the ducks went up to him and were looking at him. he just trotted away. they swam parallel to him the whole time they could in the water. i was so afraid but the thing didn't even care! i think he knew he was outnumbered by ducks about his size with strong wings and a nice bite. LOL! those foxes....
