My 3 year old Easter egger is very healthy, is on soft dirt, scratches around often and dustbathes, but she has had super long toenails since they grew in. Poops regularly, lays regularly, eats and drinks just fine, so I don’t think it’s liver issues. They started curling too. I don’t know how long they’ve been this length.

She also had an extra toe on both feet. Is this a breeding glitch?

My big nail clippers aren’t large enough to fit the nail in and I can only cut the tip. Can I use scissors? How do I know where to cut so I don’t hit the blood vessel?

Honestly, now that I think of it, she has a lot of breeding issues 😭😭 Slight cross beak, double toes, lol. She’s a silly girl.

clip a small bit off each day with dog nail clippers and the quick will get shorter also don't worry there is nothing wrong with her she just needs a trim. If you put a small piece of cement were she has to walk often it will were her nails down before they get long
