Hen acting depressed and lethargic found tubular substance coming from calocia

My hen has not laid for several days and the last two days She has been lethargic and only drinking water not eating when I checked her today she had like a tubular substance coming from.her clocia. She stands but won't lay down.I have never seen this before and wonder if it is something she got onto.Can anyone help me.

Sorry I can't really help, but I hope someone else can. My only idea would be that she could be eggbound, which will need immediate treatment.
 
That is soft shell that got twisted up while trying to lay. By what you say, I hope she's not an internal layer. Try soaking her in a container of warm water up to her sides and massage her underside front to rear for about 20 minutes or so. If might help her lay an egg.

I followed your suggestion it seemed to make her feel better. I read up on internal egg laying I am afraid that is what she may have. Of she is not better tomorrow I may put her down instead of putting off the inevitable. I am heart broken. She of course is one of my favorites. She has been one of the sweetest hen I've ever had.
