We have a hen that's about 4 months old and absolutely our baby. She started showing signs of Sour Crop a few days ago then displayed droopy wings, unable to stand, wouldn't eat or drink. I've been syringe feeding her. We started monostat, massaging her crop, yogurt, heating pad etc. It didn't seem to be getting better so we emptied her crop. She just vomited very thick clear mucus with a few strands of pretty long grass in it. She has not been outside in a few days so it's not fresh. Any idea what is happening and what I should do. Our vet isn't open again until Wednesday. Attaching pictures of the vomit. She's also been extending her neck and pulling it back in since this started. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Edit to add, after she expelled the mucus/egg white like substance I gave her coconut oil chunks and massaged her crop. There is not a strong smell to her or the substance. There isn't really much of a smell at all.

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear about your hen. How is she doing now, any improvement?

How long was she on the monistat when you gave it to her and what was the regime you were doing? Which monistat treatment was it?

Is her crop still distended?

Since vomiting, is she showing any signs of respiratory distress?

Edit to ask; when you say you emptied her crop, exactly what do you mean - did you vomit her?
