I recently spent several evenings in my coop while getting my Babies used to the coop and flock. They had been my kids all winter and most of the spring so I didn't think just dumping them in was a kind thing to do. So while doing that I got to witness alot of flock behavior I had missed before. My lead roo Super Chewie (used to just be Chewie but the rename is another story all its own. ) And Gimpy Mama so named after she as juvenile herself adopted my First bantam babies including chewie. She is the lead hen They always roost together and they always at nearly dark dark give each other a very tender little peck. It is very sweet.
