HEN ATTACKED BY COPPERHEAD! NEED ADVICE!

If you've read my previous thread, you'll know that one of my amazing hens hatched our first ever chicks. There were 7.

Now I'm down to 3. A copperhead killed 4 of them, and while my mother was running after the snake to kill it, he bit the hen because she pecked him to try and protect what babies she has left.

Will she be okay? My mother said that she is bleeding from the head, and seems fine right now, but has anyone had any experience with copperhead bites to their chickens?

Darn snake. The only thing I can recommend is that you can dose your hen with 1/2ml children's benadryl only. Wait 24 hours before redosing. DO NOT overdose a chicken with children's benadryl, observe the 24 hour time period as well. Good luck.
