Just came out and got this. Looks like eye can’t be saved. What can I do?Could you attach a picture?
Thank you. I was able to clean it and used bactroban ointment to it. She’s walking around. I put feed in the nest box and checking on her multiple times a day.Unfortunately, her eye is in pretty severe condition, she may not be able to regain vision in that eye again. For basic eye treatment, I would try flushing it with some warm saline using a syringe, or eye dropper to lavage out any bacteria or debris, afterwards, use a warm damp towel and gently wipe any gunk, or dried blood. An ophthalmic ointment such as Terramycin can then be applied to the tissue - if you don't have access to have Terramycin, an antibacterial ointment such as Neosporin can be used. If you see no improvement with that treatment, antibiotic therapy would likely be suggested. Many antibiotics can be found online in fish or bird form.

I would try to keep the hen hydrated and ensure she is eating well. Offering mashed scrambled eggs, or soupy feed and seeing if she'll take to that would be good. If not too stressful, weighing her daily to monitor her weight is a good way of tracking her state of health.
