I have a hen that was attacked by another hen/hens and they pecked her head bloody and looks as if they tried to peck out her eyes. All the scabs have fallen off but her eyes are still swollen shut and there's an infection in both of them because they're VERY swollen and now pus in forming in them. The hen I suspect of doing this did it to another hen but I nursed her back to health. Needless to say, I've gotten rid of the culprit, which by the way was an Aseel. Obviously I need to let the pus out so the healing process can begin but I'm a little shaky on how to do it. Please help!

Warm compresses to moisten and soften the 'gunk'. Gently work the eyes open, flush with human eye drops, and apply ophthalmic ointment. Hopefully the cornea is not ulcerated.

So you wouldn't advise on lancing the area of the eye and letting the pus drain? I was hoping she'd recover like the other hen did but that's not the case. It almost looks like her eyes are sealed over. They're split where the eye opening should be but looks as if there is skin over it

No, I would not lance it - too much chance of damaging the pupil. What you may be seeing if the eye is open is the nicitating (sp) membrane which is trying to protect the eye. Without a picture of the damage, I'm sort of stumbling around in the dark much like your poor hen.
