Hen attacked by rooster, should i separate?

Hip,
My one green was attacked by our rooster (who is now dog food). The entire back of her neck is cut open. We only have one other hen but do i need to separate them? Should i treat her water with antibiotics prophylactically?

How deep is the wound? Is it dirty or infected? Could you post a picture pls?

He could've been trying to mate with her because they grab their necks when they mount.

I would put some vetericyn on it. I've had good luck using vetericyn on open wounds on chickens. It should heal rather fast. If there is red blood on the wound, the other hen might try to peck at the wound causing more damage.

I'm unsure about antibiotics because I do not use them unless there's an actual infection.
