Hen - Breed or Age?

This hen was a stray in a local town and brought to us. Don't know tons about chickens but she looks young and we have no idea on breed. Care to help a local SPCA out? The more info we can give, the more adoptable they are.

looks like a speckled sussex, young pullet maybe 8 weeks?

eta: this breed makes a great family pet. Should have no problem rehoming her.
