For a few years I was without a drake for my muscovy duck hens. One became the male and she took to mating the hens for 2 years before I finally added a drake. She was the first hen to greet the new drake, and escorted him around the place. I think she was relieved to see him. My duck hens are happier now with a proper male.Thank you . I have searched the net for an answer to this question with no success. I thought if I applied the question to BYC that I would get an answer. Perhaps this will help others with the question of hen breeding hen.
