Hen crowing

Oh goodness me my hen seems to be crowing! What should i do? Sorry about me shouting in the video i was in the shower whilst my partner was recording her.. i wanted her to stop lol

Here is the video..

She is definatly a hen she is 2 years old and relularly lays eggs
She is the boss of the other 3 hens in my yard
We live in surburia so she cant do it
She had a vet check up 2 weeks ago because i thought she was sick, because she kept sneezing but turns out she wasnt sick she has just been getting into the small seeds from you quails and getting them in her nose lol i am just overly worried about my hens lol

Rare, but it does happen. Often when the flock is rooster-less.
She's fine, unless you object to the noise....

Could you ask them? You can't really do much.
She might stop of her own accord, she might not.

They are developing units in the backyard of the house next door, i know the girl nexdoor doesnt care but will the new people who move in care eekk

I read somthing about feeding her kale? To help with estrogen? Maybe i should try that

Or let her go broody and hatch some chicks to kind of push a reset button in her?

I had a Black Australorp, my fave hen, that made a number of vocalizations that no other chicken I've had ever made. About the only "chicken noise" she made was to sing the egg song when she laid. She would bugle, she would crow, she would whistle but bawk, bawk? Nope.

You don't have a rooster and I presume chickens are allowed in your zoned area so they better like it. If not they can move somewhere chickens aren't allowed

And Yes i dont have a rooster, we can only have hens

I just checked my council regulations and this is all i can find..

Poultry may therefore be kept provided they are managed so as not to cause an odour nuisance to neighbouring properties and no run off from the pen area occurs. Roosters are not permitted in a suburban area as they will cause a noise nuisance

I do know alot of people around here do have chickens, because we seen a stray rooster walking around.. i nocked on the ladys door to see if it was hers but she said it was not, she said that it has been trying to get to her hens and that the person behind her and on the opposite corner have chickens also.
My chickens also are on my lease so i guess i should be fine i hope lol

Yes i do i am 10 minutes from the city centre
