hen died this morning, HELP!!

what medication do you prefere for treating for parasites?
The weather here has been pretty mild, in the high 70s to mid 80s during the day. Nothing like the heat wave we had earlier in the summer.

We got the Sulmet yesterday and put it in their water. Also got the electrolytes/supplement to support them while they are stressed. Got diatomacious earth to put in the run to help keep any lice/mites at bay (although we have not seen any). For after the course of antibiotics, we got a liquid wormer to put in their water to do a worming. We have not seen anything in their droppings and their droppings are normal.
so far the rest of the girls are not lethargic, as our austrolorpe was before she died. All are eating and drinking. Most look pleasingly plump with full crops. A couple look bedraggled, due to general feather loss. No bare skin really showing, just not as full-feathered as usual. Those are the ones who don't have big crops. 2 eggs yesterday. (out of 11 hens). Those are our last for a while, as we will discard any eggs laid for at least 2 weeks after consumption of last meds.
Keeping our fingers crossed......

The gallon of water in the watered with the sulmet and electrolytes is almost gone. Yesterday we got three eggs and today four. (discarded).
The girls are pretty peppy today. Haven't lost any more. After the antibiotic is done we will wait a few days and put the worker in the water.
I hope the worst has passed.
I take the egg laying as a sign that whatever is causing the stress is diminishing.

So far no more deaths. Getting 2 to 3 eggs a day. Another few days I'll use the wormer. They're still drinking the chicken-Gatorade.

5 eggs today. Everybody doing well. Worming tomorrow. Then starts the 2 week egg-throwaway.
