Hen died today while napping after being a little tired yesterday. Any ideas what happened or what I could have done? :(

OH ME TOO! lol. I go into a spiral when ANY pet passing, and it's what kinda kept me hesitant on chickens. I knew I would get so attached to each of them, and their lives are so short I finally got some, and read threads like this all day just to mentally prepare myself for the inevitable.

Yes exactly! I keep thinking it'll get a little bit easier with each one though, and so far it has not. It always seems to be whichever one I'm currently the most attached to that ends up dying as well my sweet Ghost was definitely the most social and charismatic and tenderhearted of my little flock, so I had quite a soft spot for her I used to keep small rodents, and their lifespans are so short too; you would think that between them and the hens I would have toughened up a bit to it by now, but here I am, still crying onto chicken forums after each loss!
