Hello ,
Fluffy my lavender Orpington 6 month old ,is sitting on the floor of the Coop. She barley walks does only pick listless around if the others are going crazy for something like lettuce or popcorn. Since yesterday afternoons she is like that.I checked her vent it's clean and she has no signs of parasites I didn't see her poop .but I noticed she got really fast big the last weeks.can she be too overweight?

She layed ,mind you she just started 1 weeks ago, til the day before yesterday .She is a lavender Orpington around 6 month old .her feed is a mix of oats ,crushed corn ,wheat, sunflower seed, vegetable scraps .

Most hens need a balanced chicken feed, such as layer feed or flock raiser feed plus the crushed oyster shell for calcium. As much as you are giving the different things, she still may not be getting a balanced diet.

She possibly could be eggbound and suffering from temporary paralysis from an egg pressing on a leg nerve. Can you insert a clean finger into her vent to feel for an egg or obstruction? Some eggs may be shell-less and harder to feel, and they can become stuck easily.

Can you post a picture of your pullet? What breed is she? Could ahe be a meat chicken? Has she ever laid eggs? What are you feeding her?

I can feel an egg in there and she is moving here bum up and down while she is sitting there.Maybe I should sit her in a Nest box? but maybe it's better for her to can move freely? .If she thinks that's help .Sorry I think on child birth 🤔. But I also don't want her get run over by her Sisters.

Good Morning,
I put Fluffy in a open box and brought her in the House.I give her Water with a syringe yesterday twice which was 125ml in whole.she seems alert watches everybody with interest but doesn't walk.I checked her Nails they are not too long and her feet are clear.I had her tonight beside the bed And was aible to watch her standing up to poop and picking in the feed bowl. I will continue to water her with the syringe. I know most important by any issue with animals is adequate hydration.

If she can poop, she probably is not egg bound. But if you felt something inside, she might be having a reproductive problem. You can keep her in a warm and humid area, such as a steamy bathroom. Calcium as in a tablet or Tums can help if she is having trouble laying an egg, but if she is passing droppings, that is usually not egg binding. What do the droppings look like? If she seems constipated, you could offer a tsp of chilled coconut oil chopped into small pieces to peck.
