Hen Domination?

One of my hens "Henrietta" has been mounting some of the younger girls- and they let her. She grabs them buy the back of their neck and they squat down and expose their.... um.. parts. Can someone please tell me what's going on here? I know she's a female because she had chicks when we met her so I'm really confused.

This is totally normal. The dominate girl will tend to act like a boy at times, a hen-boy!

As the pecking order changes this behavior will stop.

As long as the dominate girl is not hurting the others, she should be allowed to continue.

The hens you need to watch out for are the princess and the one being picked on.
