I have a hen approx 9 months old. I found her by herself lying in the coop. She has no energy. I put her in a private cage with food & water. I don't think she is partaking of these. She appears to want to sleep all the time. Poop is cream color. Seems to be normal.

Last month I found the sibling of this hen dead in the coop. Her left wing had been hanging down and she was limping. I think she had a stroke on her left side. No marks were found on her.

Don't know how long this hen will last. It is getting cold here (Iowa). I have her in my tool room with a heat lamp on her. I am going over to check on her in a few minutes. I'll let y'all know how she is.

second that. If she passes, or if you decide to cull, it would be a good idea to have her necropsied by your state lab. If you have Marek's on site, you want to know.
