Sexing cream legbars- they all look alike to me

I do believe that one is a cockerel

I'd say the other two are pullets. One doesn't have a crest, so it's possible they're mixed. (In the states, our legbars are the crested variety. The uk has several varieties of legbars)

That is absolutely horrific and tragic, I'm sorry. Hope everybody else is okay
Well, the people and dogs and cats are ok, but we lost 4 ducklings (in addition to 7 chicks) so the lone duck survivor was raised with the chick survivors and probably thinks it’s a chicken. Even goes into the coop with them every night. I hope it’s not disappointed when the ducklings i bought (and will be hatching in the coming month or so) join it in their own duck enclosure. Lol
All in all, though we were fortunate. It could have been much worse, as sad as i am to have lost the little lives i did.

Are you talking about the light grey one? Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a band, and i don’t know when it lost it.
Correct. I should have specified

Due to the barring pattern, the grey one looks to be a cockerel.
The other two appear to have hen-specific patterns? And look closer to what my legbar pullet looks like.

That's awful. I'm terribly sorry.

The ducklings will probably learn to get along.
We had several that hatched (muscovies, duck raised) and some of the ducklings that were just a little older would... pick on... and trample the younger ones that couldn't get away. (Didn't have that problem the year before.)

That bastard!! Haha. Of course he would survive. But i am glad he did. I guess I’ll just have to order a few more hatching eggs unless someone close to me (Wisconsin) has legbar pullets they are willing to part with or trade for. I really liked the blue egg thing and was hoping for a basket that was colorful. However, of the older laying hens I have the one that pays her egg rent most consistently pays it in the most delicious and largest brown speckled eggs ive ever seen. I am not complaining.

Well if he's a good rooster (if you can have, or want roosters) and if he has the blue egg gene, him plus your brown layers should produce pullets with green eggs.

I cannot have but if hes quiet and does not get us in trouble he can stay. Although i need a small flock so i cant imagine keeping any babies, id more likely sell them as hathching eggs but good to know.

Unfortunately, about a week after i posted we had a brooder/heat lamp accident and the brooder caught on fire along with the floor in the living room where they were being kept until the garage brooder was complete. Out of the 6 cream legbar chicks that hatched, we only found 3 alive once the fire was out. I presumed at the time that they were all female, if i can find the pics of the survivors right after the fire i will post them as well. These are the three i have left. I think 2 females but I’m wondering about the light grey one. Maybe not pure legbar? Or is this a cockerel? They are about 6 weeks now. View attachment 4145340View attachment 4145339
Thats absolutely horrible! I an so glad you guys were safe and some of the babies made it out :hugs These guys could be pure legbar however I would not personally breed them due to the not distinct patterning as a chick. Plus one has no crest whatsoever. Still very cute girls and hopefully you will get some blue or green eggs!
