Hen featherd serama rooster

he is 1 1/2 years old. He does not have those long streaming saddle feathers like a normal rooster.
 
I think he looks handsome with the hen-feathering

I just read on another forum that henfeather is passed on by the hen, not the rooster, don't know how true that is though.
