Hen fell into bucket of water - Possible wry neck injury (updated with video+pic)

She has livened up today. She is klucking, walking around a bit (though she seems to prefer sitting), has laid an egg (!) and has also made a grand mess. She has stepped in her little bowl of water, twice, spilling it. She has also somehow thrown food pellets all over the crate she is in, which I cleaned up. Still, she does seem quite satisfied, having both eaten and drunk plenty.

The neck is, however, still almost as twisted as yesterday. When she stands on her legs she manages to stretch it to almost normal position, but she returns to tilting it to the side after a few seconds. Also, when she drinks, she twists her neck around an awful lot, and it seems like she feels uncomfortable. Almost as she gags a bit.

I also considered letting her out of the cage and having her walk around the bathroom, but I'm afraid she'll try to perch on some ledge and injure herself again. Her coordination does not seem to be 100%, which is not strange considering the position of her head/eyes.

It will take her a few days to get acclimated to her head's new position in relation to her body. Once that happens she should regain her coordination. Her neck may return to normal position eventually, but it may not. If she dislocated something in her neck chances are good that she will have a crook to her neck permanently. It shouldn't really hurt her any, but it will affect her overall appearance.

I am sorry. I hope she continues to recover. Good luck with her.
