Will agree and repeat some.
I wouldn't think they'd have an actual tube on a chicken.
Wound does look great, no redness or swelling.
Observe it just like a human wound...
...except those green areas are bruising, bit diff than a human.
A bit of antibiotic ointment(with no pain relief ingredients) will keep it supple,
don't put on enough to gather dirt or debris.

Wow!! I didn’t realize how long ago this was! I finally logged back into my BYC account and read through my old threads. I can’t believe I never did a final update here!I’m so sorry that I never updated, life got in the way and I forgot all about this thread.

I’m happy to say that Pom-Pom is alive and well now!! She’s as sassy as ever and still lays eggs every day for me. She has an interesting line of white feathers that grew from where her scar was. I was worried that her feathers might not grow back where the injury was but they did - they are just white!

So here she is now! You can see a couple of the white feathers on her right side near her leg and under her crop.
