Hen(?) from animal shelter, is she actually a hen & what breed?

Golden Laced Wyandotte, Black Copper Marans, and Dominique roosters over Welsummer, Cochin, Leghorn, Ameraucana, and Silver Laced Wyandotte hens. I have had some very interesting colors come out of my mixed flock.

I'm going to start to try a new breed. What are the results of your Dominique roo over your hens? Especially over your Ameraucana hens? Egg color and feather color? Any pics??

I have all of them together, so I don't know who parents are for sure. I can tell you that a dominique x ameraucana will give you a pale olive egg.

How old is s/he? The last picture makes me think cockerel, but you should wait a little while to be 100% sure before you rehome him/her. As for a breed it looks like a mix breed, the mix probably includes a barred rock or a cuckoo maran. I hope I helped

I'm located in Indiana. Sad to say too far away. I would love the bird. I've always wanted a rooster. I plan on saving up the money I get from my Mallards and buying some chickens. Fresh eggs and baby chicks are the best. Efowl's hatchery should be close to you. You could by shipping boxs from them to ship your own birds. I've done this last year. I sent my aunt 5 ducklings for her birthday. Let us know the outcomes.
