Hello! My 3-year-old Delaware began gasping a few weeks ago. I separated her from the flock, gave her electrolytes, vetRX, and dewormer. She seemed to be doing much better, so after a few days I put her back. She was good for about 3 days, then today I noticed she's gasping again. She pretty much stays on the roost all day yet seems alert and not lethargic. I have some Tiaguard 12.5% that I would be willing to use, but I'm just trying to figure out how to use it.
I'm assuming it's a respiratory issue, but any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I had the same problem with a call duck of mine, I did the same thing as you and it would not go away. I ended up taking her to the vet and it turned out to be a yeast infection in her lungs. Do you have any hay that is or has been wet? The vet told me that’s where it started growing. Hope your girl gets better!

You may want to post this in the Emergencies/ Diseases / Injuries and Cures thread. Someone with the knowledge to help you will chime in.

Can you get a video of her? Upload to Youtube and provide a link or you can use the BYC Gallery. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/how-to-upload-videos-to-the-gallery.1631126/

Tiagard (Tiamulin) will treat symptoms of Mycoplasma only in chickens. It goes in the drinking water and is quite bitter. Mix according to the directions on your bottle or by the chart in the link below. To make the medication more palatable, substitute some of the water with fruit juice or mix in some karo syrup to sweeten it.

When was your hen's last egg?
Did she molt this year?

You dewormed - what did you use, the dose and duration?
