Hi all! Recently i've had a couple of hens go broody, One, Named Mama just hatched a clutch of 16 eggs a couple of months ago. She went back to normal eating, laying, and talking but recently i got rid of a few of our old roosters and got a new fully grown bantam rooster. So when all the hens were in their coop i brought the lil' guy in with them, When i put him down no one BUT Mama freaked out, mama puffed out completely with her wings out and started making low clucking noises but after a while she calmed down, No one else did that. I've also noticed that her talking is slowly begining to sound like a low clucking as well but she doesn't act broody. So my question is.. Is she going broody?
And replies will be appreciated!

probably just stressed her a little with the new roo. Just my opinion.

That could be. It just got me thinking since she was the only one to react that way.
Could be a little motherly behavior left over from her last brood. Thanks for the reply!
