hen got off eggs day 16

My hen pushed all the eggs out of the nest last night and they were cold, when I turned the light on she started pulling them back under her is there any chance that they will live 2 were slightly warm. And why now? she has not got off the nest for up to 4 and 5 days at a time she is in the house so we watch her real close.

I really can't say if they are okay but, it never hurts to try. I would let her sit on them again or put them in an incubator. If they didn't get too cold maybe they will hatch.

Thanks I dont have an incubator yet but I put them back under her in hopes These were the first eggs ive paid for just hatched my own before.

How frustrating!

I agree with sticking them back under her--it's definitely worth a try! Sometimes they survive unexpectedly. Good luck!

My last hatch the hen did it all and was great and I thought who needs an incubator?

And this time I think wow now I know why people get an incubator!
