Hen grabbed by dog and now will not stand up

My chicken got grabbed by my dog today, she's ALIVE and on the outside uninjured, but seems to not be willing to stand up on her own. She has been just laying down panting since. She ate some treats but hasn't had any water yet. I have her separated out from the rest with food and water. She's only 19wek sold and not laying yet either.

Wondering if she might just be in shock and not moving or if she might have gotten injured and can not move?

Anything I can do to help her would be appreciated!

Poor thing! Sounds like shock. Have you tried some sugar water?

She is no doubt in shock if you have a syringe or eye dropper
see if you can get her to dink little bits that way.

I hope your hen is just in shock and okay! I sometimes try to give them molasses or karo syrup with the dull side of a kebab skewer or something like that to perk them up. I'm glad she ate some treats! Hopefully she starts drinking as well.

She could also be bruised and sore. Watch for green coloring on her sides over the next few days, chickens bruise green.

I usually do 1 cup of warm water with 1 tsp of sugar mixed in. Good luck!
