My soon to be three year old hen in November has a bulging belly. It’s red and squishy. She has feathers missing but she has had feathers missing for over a month. I have a mixed flock of chickens and ducks. I did have drakes I got rid of because I was worried they were missing with my hens.
Then two days ago I noticed that it is now swallow back there. I didn’t see anything that looks like mites but I’m also a newer chicken owner and have not delt with anything like mites or this yet thank goodness.
She is eating and freaking and running around. She is acting a little more skittish before.
I’m not sure of her breed unfortunately.
She hasn’t lost weight and her Comb is normal.
Please help with any advice thank you
