Hen has appeared with red spots!?

Hello! How is everyone,? Ive noticed one of my hens of 5 months has appeared with this on her leg .Should I be concerned? Should I remover her from the coop?

My first thought is a rash. You definitely don't need to remove her, but I would pay attention to it if it gets worse.

Has she been pecked?

Thank you for the feedback! She has been pecked I am slowly introducing her with my flock. But on her foot I don’t think so. I will keep any eye on her!

She is a Australorp I believe, My other girls I am not sure I rescued them from a terrible place. I am introducing her with and other hen to my flock.

That's normal coloration. The red means hormones are surging, but is usually more noticeable on roosters. This can also appear if it's cold outside.

Have a picture of the full bird? Might be able to help you with breed.

This appears on my girls a lot I don't worry about it because I assume that it is the coloration of their scales. They are docile and never peck each other, and they are healthy laying birds not in pain. So I am not concerned about that, but don't shoot me and if you are concerned, I would definitely look into it.

Not an Australorp. They have dark grey legs with pinkish undersides to their feet. Maybe a mix with Aussie, but I don't know.

I have a Buff Orpington cockerel that has those pinkish lines down his legs. He got those at about 4 months when his male hormones started surging. I call them his racing stripes.
