Hi all, looking for any input!

My Austrolope named Big Black survived a raccoon attack. Her neck is injured and she hasn't been able to peck since it happened. Today is the 12th day and today was the first day she started showing weakness in her neck. Her neck is resting sideways and shes off balance. I noticed upon checking her that her crop was like a balloon. After watching you tube I tipped her upside down and emptied out as much as I could. Shes still laying sideways. Here is a photo of her, Im out of ideas, not sure what the next move is. There isnt much for chicken vets in my area either.. please help!!

Has she been eating at all? Maybe some wetted scrambled eggs. Something that will give her a kick start. What made you diagnose sour crop.
Poor bird. Tough enough to survive a racoon attack, nevermind a lengthy recovery.
Good luck. Your a good advocate.

We have been feeding her with a syringe 3x a day, the last 2 days she has been getting pureed eggs w broth and applesauce. I was hoping that would help her gain strength but today is acting very strange with her neck. Today her crop was extra big and kinda fowl smell coming from the beak. I'm no expert in chickens, I have just been researching and trying to find out much info as possible. I could be wrong, it seems like so many things that could be wrong w her. She definitely has a will survive, Im just hoping I can help her out the best way possible. I feel like I'm becoming a chicken vet trying to nurture her back to health, very new to me even though I've always been an amimal person.

Infection will smell horrible obviously. ..
I hope for her sake she is justcat a rough spell in recovery. It is really hard with animals. At least humans can tell yoh where or if it hurts and where.
Good luck. I aconfident on your persistence. The rest is nature.
