My hen is really sick.
I think it only started yesterday, or that's when I noticed it at least.

It has a really droopy belly- between it's legs.

It is worse today. Today it's not eating or walking.

Yesterday it was eating, and walking. But it's walk was funny, like a penguin waddle, it looked like it's belly was really heavy and was staggering with the weight. It was walking slowly and funnily.

Today it's just sitting/lying with it's eyes closed.

Here are some pictures i took just now

it looks dead, but it's not. it looks miserable.

Does it hang down like a water filled balloon at her back end? If you feel it and gently push in, and all you feel is liquid, she could be suffering from Ascites (fluid build up). I have a hen who suffers from it and about every three months I use a large syringe/small needle, insert in water balloon, and drain out the fluid. It has always been absolutely clear water. After I make a few insertions with the needle, the holes usually continue to leak on their own and she will drain that way. You have nothing to lose at this point by trying to drain something out and see what you get.

If it feels solid or nothing comes out, she could be laying internally and is filled with cooked yolk, in which case I'm sorry to say there's not much that can be done other than a hysterectomy.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks. That was probably it. I wish I'd known that sooner, as she was dead the next morning

At least I'll know for next time. Thanks so much for your help.
