Usually the hens and/or rooster are more interested in getting to share the chicks food than the chicks themselves!

Yes, this is very true. I've seen nearly the entire flock crammed in the brooder bc they wanted to eat the chick food. Silly chickens.

Hahha they are crazy about food much more than my geese and ducks honestly! But that was my concern the other birds more than the chickens
